Season Kickoff Event

A virtual welcome session introducing students, families, and mentors to the Technovation Texas program.

Pitch Showcase

A celebratory regional pitch showcase event where teams present their projects to judges, families, and community supporters.

Mentor Training

Required Technovation orientation and training for all mentors, covering youth safety, program structure, and mentorship expectations.

Skill‑building workshops covering topics like user interface design, AI basics, coding fundamentals, and pitch development.

Build Sprint Weekends

Hands‑on working sessions where teams accelerate progress on their app or AI prototype.

Celebration Event

An end‑of‑season award and celebration event recognizing student achievements, creativity, and perseverance.

Season at a Glance

The Technovation Girls program runs annually, with recruitment in the fall and core project development from January to April. Teams follow a structured, step-by-step curriculum that leads to a final global submission.

Global
Launch
August 13, 2025

The Technovation season officially begins in August with the global launch. Students, families, and educators can explore the curriculum, review the challenge theme, and begin early planning before formal recruitment starts.

Recruitment & Ideation
October - December

During the fall, students, mentors, and schools sign up for the program. Teams begin exploring community problems, learning the basics of design thinking, and selecting the issue they want to solve.

Build & Mentorship
January - April

Teams work through the Technovation curriculum each week, supported by mentors. They learn coding or no-code tools, AI concepts, user research, and entrepreneurship while building their app or AI prototype and preparing their pitch.

Submission Deadline
April 20, 2026

By the global submission deadline, teams submit their app or AI prototype, pitch video, and required documentation to the Technovation platform for review.

Judging Begins
May - July

After submissions close, Technovation leads judging and selects regional and global finalists. Some teams may be invited to the Technovation World Summit, where student innovations are recognized and celebrated.

World Summit
October 2026

The Technovation World Summit is the global celebration of student innovation, where top finalist teams present their solutions, connect with peers from around the world, and are honored for their achievements in technology and entrepreneurship.
